Tashi Martin

Hi! My name is Tashi and I am a Tibetan Terrier living in the Commonwealth of Virginia in the United States of America.

I was born in October 2020 and I have five brothers and sisters. Both of my parents are Grand Champions in the show circuit, but I am just a gal who loves life, learning new things, and becoming better every day at being the dog I know I can be. My name means “Good Fortune” in the Tibetan language.

I love my new parents, our beautiful home, and I am so lucky to have a lot of friends. I am fortunate to have such a wonderful life.

When my new Dad started The Tashi Chronicles on Facebook, it was just a great, fun way to tell people about me joining their family and how my training was going, and how I was getting adjusted to my new home. I love all the stories and pictures of Dad, Mom, and me. It turned out that lots and lots of people were interested in my adventures. When Dad got the idea to write a Leadership Book for young boys and girls based upon a lot of the things I was learning – it just made a lot of sense and seemed like a great idea.

Wow! Neither Dad nor I ever could have imagined how much excitement would be generated about the story of “Tails from Tibet”. There are lots of people in countries in Europe and elsewhere who are now following me and who have already bought the book! The wonders of Social Media have really helped get the word out.

And just to be clear – I didn’t start out life as a celebrity! In fact, it has been quite overwhelming at times – All the interest in me and so much attention. Despite all the fame and notoriety, I am still just a gal who enjoys my quality time with Dad, my long walks with Mom, quiet time in the evenings together, and doing fun things as a family.

There are lots of “Meet the Author” Book Signing events being scheduled. I hope to see you at one of our upcoming events. We can take a picture together. Dad even made a customized “paw print” of my left front paw so I can “sign” books too.

About The Book

Tashi and Sashi are two Tibetan Terriers. Tashi is the younger of the two dogs and is curious about her ancestry. A golden eagle named Yeshe, flying overhead, happens to hear this and “magically” transports the two dogs to the beautiful land of Tibet, high in the Himalayan mountains. Here they embark on a journey to find the Lost Valley, which is believed to be the ancestral home of Tibetan Terriers.

During this amazing adventure, they encounter a variety of challenges and learn life lessons along the way. So much of what a young pup needs to learn is similar to what a young boy or girl needs to learn to propel them in their development. The pups learn about Trust, Obedience, Perseverance, Bravery, Standing Up for What is Right, Curiosity, and much more.

Come join Tashi, Sashi and Yeshe on this thrilling journey.

My husband and I received our books this afternoon, opened the package, and both immediately sat down and read our copies cover to cover. The illustrations are extraordinary! From the cover art to the final shot of Tashi, the artwork is stunningly beautiful and works perfectly with Mr.Martin’s beautiful narrative. We loved the story and all the positive tales the girls learn from. It’s a terrific read and we can’t WAIT to share it with our grandchildren! Congratulations Philip Martin! You have written and produced a little masterpiece for children of all ages! Hugs to you, Donna, and Tashi.

“Tails from Tibet: Leadership Lesson for Young Lives” is a charming book for any age. Whether you read it solo or share it with some younger readers, you will find the book chock full of life lessons concerning virtues such as trust and standing up for what’s right…all through the eyes of two adorable dogs, Tashi and Sashi. The storytelling also introduces some wonderful background about Tibet and Tibetan Terriers, dogs who we learn serve as companions to Buddhist monks. The lovely illustrations that accompany the prose are an are an extra special bonus.

This is a very well written children’s book. The story is really wonderful while teaching children enlightening life and leadership shills. The vast number of illustrations are beautiful and they really enhance the story. I initially bought 1 hardcover and 4 paperbacks. After giving away the paperbacks I just ordered 3 more copies.
